When you are a passionate gardener, you use all your spare time (when not outside planting, digging, weeding, or speaking to your
plants) thinking about your next project or chore in your
garden.
Like Henny Youngman once said, "old gardeners
never die, they just spade away."
How can you tell if you are a gardener?
You know when everyone
is in the house getting ready for bed and you are still outside
admiring what you accomplished that day. Gardeners know what sweat
equity is all about. And sometimes, gardening can be exasperating.
In Florida, we have a lot to contend with the heat,
insects,
hurricanes, and weeds,
but every location has its pros and cons.
Don't throw in the trowel if you are laboring with a plant
problem or stuck because you don't know what you should do next in
your yard. It's time to take a break. You can, you
know? Gardeners do have times that they take breaks.
Reasons vary from it's raining or snowing to you just want to relax
those aching but satisfied muscles and dream about what your garden
will look like one day. No matter the time of day, weather or
season - if you have to be indoors - you can page through gardening
catalogues and books. Search online on the Internet about answers to
landscaping dilemmas and unique flowering suggestions from the
world's best plant
experts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week all around the world.
My indoor garden passion is researching the latest, greatest
horticulture information on the Internet that I can dig my fingers into and use
in my backyard. I then love to pass that academic and/or
recreational information on to my green thumb friends. Here are
some of my favorite horticultural websites to dig through.
